We will visit excellent, traditional Sicilian restaurants, and at our meals together you will enjoy specialties made from local, fresh, in-season ingredients and local wine pairings. Eastern Sicily is home to a vibrant culinary tradition that mixes delicious local produce with cooking styles drawn from its many foreign rulers, from the Byzantines to the Arabs and from the Normans to the Spanish.

Here are some Trip Highlights:

  • 7 nights all inclusive trip: 5 nights in Taormina, a charming hillside town on the east coast of Sicily, and one of the island's main tourist resort, plus 2 nights in an agriturismo in the baroque town of Noto, a Unesco world heritage site.
  • 3 cooking classes featuring the best of the local products, taught by local chefs.
  • Mushrooms hunting on Mt. Etna with an expert.
  • Day trip to Bronte, the world’s pistachio capital for the “Sagra del Pistacchio”,  a popular and delightful festival, a wonderful experience to enjoy local culture and tradition.
  • Visit to an historic sweet shop in the delightful Baroque town of Modica with tasting of the famed Modican chocolate.
  • Sample the DOC wines and food delicacies in a winery located at the base of  Mt.Etna.
  • Visit an authentic Sicilian pasticceria and watch a pastry-making demonstration.
  • See a cheese-making demonstration at a traditional caseificio.
  • Visit the unique fish Market in Catania “La Pescheria”
